Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Kilmore East Quarry.
This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
In your new role with us, you will:
- Carry out the day-to-day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment.
- Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump trucks.
- Perform general labouring activities, including cleaning, hosing, and shovelling.
- Contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the quarry.
This role is a great fit for you if you have:

- Experience operating CAT 990/992 loaders (advantageous).
- Articulated dump truck and rigid haul truck experience (preferred).
- Rock breaker experience (favourable).
- Heavy machinery tickets are not required; however, relevant operating experience is essential.
- Previous experience in quarrying or mining.
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

- $36.16 per hour, plus penalty rates and superannuation.
- Monday to Friday roster, generally 6:30am to 4:00pm.
