  • About the job

    Company Description

Exercare is dedicated to empowering ability and enhancing lives through personalised exercise physiology and capacity-building services and is now expanding into occupational therapy. We support people of all abilities, including individuals living with disability, chronic health conditions, pain and mobility challenges. As NDIS specialists based in South East Melbourne, Exercare provides compassionate, evidence-based care as a mobile service — in clients' homes and across the local community. Services range from functional capacity building and rehabilitation to chronic pain management, strength and balance programs, Support in the Home and NDIS functional capacity assessments and reports. Exercare is committed to promoting dignity, independence and progress by partnering with clients to achieve meaningful, movement-focused goals.

    Role Description

Referrals are offered per case with no minimum hours and you have full clinical autonomy over how you deliver care. We're looking for someone available 1–3 days a week — even half days are fine, genuinely flexible around what suits you. You'll work as an Occupational Therapist servicing NDIS participants (and self-funded clients as your caseload grows) across South East Melbourne, delivering Support in the Home services alongside assessments, functional capacity assessments and evidence-based interventions.

You'll have control over your own schedule and choose which clients you take on. Exercare handles referrals and leads and you bill through Exercare for the work you complete — so you can focus purely on clinical work.

Because you'll be working independently and representing Exercare without day-to-day oversight, this role suits an experienced clinician who is confident managing their own caseload — including navigating NDIS funding, writing reports for plan reviews and handling both plan-managed and self-managed participants.

Attractive incentives and bonuses apply as your caseload grows.

    Qualifications

    - Minimum 2–3 years post-graduation experience — this role is not suited to new graduates

    - Strong, hands-on NDIS experience — comfortable determining what's genuinely fundable, writing plan review reports and working with both plan-managed and self-managed participants

    - Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist, in good standing

    - Professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

    - NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to apply)

    - Reliable transport, a valid driver's licence and car insurance covering work-related driving

    - Comfortable and confident working solo, without a colleague or supervisor immediately on hand

    - Strong documentation and communication skills for working with clients, families and Exercare remotely
