Motor Mechanic

Position: Motor Mechanic

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $72,000 to $82,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Minto NSW 2566

Our client is seeking a full-time Motor Mechanic to maintain and repair its vehicle fleet located in Minto, New South Wales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
2. Dismantle, inspect, repair and replace engines, transmissions, steering systems and other vehicle components.
3. Perform scheduled servicing, including oil changes, lubrication and engine tune-ups.
4. Reassemble, test and adjust repaired engines and mechanical components.
5. Inspect vehicles and identify repairs required to maintain safety and roadworthiness.
6. Respond to vehicle breakdowns and carry out repairs as required.
7. Maintain accurate service and repair records.
8. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

1. Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
2. Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Motor Mechanic.
3. Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Ability to use computerised diagnostic equipment and technical service manuals.
5. Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and mechanical skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining vehicles to a high standard.
