Alltruck Bodies Pty Ltd is a leading Australian manufacturer of truck bodies and trailers, proudly servicing a wide range of industry sectors. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team in Richlands, Brisbane.

The Metal Fabricator  is responsible for welding and fabricating components and assemblies used in truck body construction. This includes welding steel, aluminium, and other materials to specification, ensuring structural integrity, precision, and quality finish. The role supports the production team in delivering durable, safe, and high-quality truck bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Weld and fabricate components for truck bodies, including chassis extensions, frames, and sub-assemblies
  • Work with steel, aluminium, and other metal materials used in truck body builds
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, welding procedures, and specifications
  • Select appropriate welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or ARC) for each task
  • Prepare and clean surfaces for welding to ensure quality and safety
  • Inspect welds for strength, accuracy, and compliance with standards
  • Assist with assembly of fabricated components onto truck bodies
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order
  • Ensure the workshop and work area are kept clean, organised, and safe
  • Work collaboratively with fabrication, body assembly, and finishing teams to meet production schedules

Applicants must have:

  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG/ARC) in a truck body, heavy vehicle, or industrial fabrication environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of different metals and their welding requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to work under production deadlines

It is also preferred that applicants have:

  • A trade qualification in Welding or Fabrication (preferred but not essential)
  • Welding tickets/certifications (MIG, TIG, ARC)
  • Driver's Licence (preferred)
  • Forklift Licence (advantageous)

A salary of $75,000 - $85,000 p.a plus super will be offered to the successful candidate.
