CrewSELECT is on the hunt for experienced Field Service Mechanical Fitters to join a leading WA business specialising in crushing and screening, quarry operations and heavy earthmoving equipment across Perth’s northern suburbs.

With a massive fleet of 1,200 machines, consistent hours and outstanding earning potential, this is your chance to work on some serious machinery while sleeping in your own bed every night!

THE WORK – BIG GEAR, REAL BREAKDOWNS & PLENTY OF VARIETY!

Forget doing the same thing every day! You’ll be out in the field keeping heavy machinery running across quarry, crushing, screening and earthmoving operations.

YOU’LL BE WORKING ON:

• Crushers, screens, conveyors and screening plants.

• Excavators, graders, dump trucks and rock breakers.

• Generators, prime movers and heavy mobile plant.

• Leading equipment brands including McCloskey, Striker, Telestack, Kleemann, Terex Pegson, Terex Finlay, Metso and Powerscreen.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:

• Conducting comprehensive equipment inspections, servicing and mechanical repairs.

• Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, circuitry and controls.

• Fault-finding, troubleshooting and failure diagnosis to get machinery back into action.

• Attending unplanned breakdowns, emergency repairs and maintenance callouts.

• Test-running plant and equipment following major repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Identifying preventative maintenance requirements before they become costly breakdowns.

• Completing electronic and manual maintenance reports, service records and documentation.

• Working independently in the field while maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.

GOT WHAT IT TAKES?

We’re looking for experienced, mechanically minded Fitters who know their way around heavy machinery and aren’t afraid of a challenge!

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Mechanical Fitter).

• Minimum 3 years’ post-trade Field Service experience.

• Exposure to quarry operations, crushing and screening equipment.

• Proven experience working with machinery such as McCloskey, Striker, Telestack, Kleemann, Terex, Metso and Powerscreen.

• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Competent in the safe operation and maintenance of relevant plant equipment.

• Physically fit and capable of completing hands-on maintenance tasks.

• Current C Class Driver’s Licence (HR highly regarded).

• Valid Working at Heights, Dogging, EWP and Forklift tickets.

• Own adequate tools of the trade.

• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.

• Ability to work unsupervised, take initiative and contribute positively to a team.

• Reliable, hardworking and professional with a positive, can-do attitude.

• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
