Business Services Manager / Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced Business Services Manager / Supervisor to join a highly regarded and established Chartered Accounting practice experiencing continued growth South of Adelaide.

The firm works with a diverse portfolio of quality clients across a range of industries and entity structures, providing a broad mix of accounting, taxation and advisory services.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Tax & Business Services Partner, you will play an important role within the practice, managing your own portfolio while providing leadership and technical guidance to a small team.

This is a hands-on position that combines client management, accounting and tax, team leadership and business advisory work.

You'll have the opportunity to work closely with Partners and clients, contribute ideas and play a genuine role in the ongoing development of the practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and developing strong, long-term relationships
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns across a variety of entity structures
• Reviewing work completed by accountants and providing technical guidance
• Supporting, mentoring and developing junior and intermediate team members
• Managing workflow and ensuring client work is completed accurately and on time
• Providing accounting, taxation and business advisory support
• Working closely with the Partner on complex client matters and projects
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional value and services to clients
• Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the practice
• Assisting with more complex compliance and advisory assignments when required

About You

This position would suit an experienced Senior Accountant/ Supervisor looking to step into a manager role.

You will ideally have:

• Several years of experience within Australian public practice
• CA or CPA qualification
• Strong experience across Tax and Business Services
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial accounts and tax returns
• The ability to manage client relationships independently
• Previous experience mentoring or supervising accounting professionals
• Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A commercial approach to client service
• The confidence to work directly with clients and Partners
