The Role:
Working under broad direction, the role will be responsible for meeting key performance targets, having a focus on continuous improvement and which has a direct influence on the provision of quality, statewide housing supply. Work is undertaken with high levels of professional independence and will enhance customer outcomes and enhance the liveability and sustainability of our communities.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and associated codes, regulations and procedures, and skills and abilities to apply them in complex situations.
- Exceptional communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven capacity to provide leadership and to proactively engage with staff by fostering trust and genuine cooperation.
- Ability to provide expert advice and resolve complex issues.
- Sound knowledge of private and public planning, building and development processes and procedures.
- Skills and capacity to provide quality team management.
- Experience managing teams including contractors and consultant teams.
- Knowledge and experience to interpret and apply legislative provisions and complex systems.
- Experience working in a planning, building and/or development assessment role.
Qualification:
A recognised degree or post graduate qualification that supports the relevant discipline of planning, building or development is highly desirable.
Special Conditions:
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
SM1 – $144,421 plus superannuation.
