Omni Recruit is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Tennyson, Brisbane.
What’s on offer
- $65+ per hour casual rate
- Temp-to-Perm position
- Ordinary Day shift hours
- Weekend on-call roster approx. every 3–4 weeks (On-call retainer + hourly for call-outs)
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day electrical maintenance of equipment and machinery across the site.
Your duties will include:
- Fault finding and troubleshooting electrical equipment
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Working on motors, drives, control systems and instrumentation
- Maintaining switchboards, MCCs and other electrical equipment
- Troubleshooting and maintaining PLC, HMI, SCADA and VSD systems
- Assisting with shutdowns, projects and equipment upgrades
- Carrying out electrical inspections and testing
- Supporting the site’s on-call roster for breakdowns and maintenance
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Australian Electrical Trade Qualification & Current Electrical Workers Licence
- Current driver's licence
- Previous experience in industrial electrical maintenance
Desirable:
- PLC experience
- Instrumentation experience
- Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, manufacturing or similar environments
- Hazardous Area / EEHA experience
