Machine Technician - Day Shift Only
 
Our valued client, located in Brendale, is a leading manufacturer and supplier of rigid plastic packaging and container solutions. The site plays a key role in producing high-quality packaging for the food, beverage, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
 
 
Hours of Work:
6am - 2pm
 
Pay Rate:
Trade: $52.73 per hour
Non-Trade: $44.36 per hour
 
 
 
About the Role:
As a Machine Technician, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the Production Coordinator and Team Leaders while contributing to a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
**Candidate will work as part of the mold team and must either have previous mold change experience or be a trade qualified fitter

  • Operate production machinery in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.
  • Follow all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) procedures, including Take 5 and Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
  • Report all hazards, near misses, and incidents immediately.
  • Operate and monitor blow molding machines, material handling systems, and automated packaging equipment.
  • Carry out minor machine adjustments and assist with maintenance activities and mold changes.
  • Maintain product quality while achieving production targets.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, quality, and equipment reliability.
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

 
 
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience operating blow molding machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude (a trade qualification is advantageous).
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly regarded.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
  • Good communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
