The Company
Our client is an established industrial business looking to bring on a Logistics & Freight Analyst to support and improve freight operations across their network.
This is a hands-on, analytical role that will see you working closely with different sites across the business to understand how freight is currently managed, identify inefficiencies and develop more streamlined processes. You’ll have the opportunity to get out on-site, work with operational teams and drive improvements across freight costs, processes and overall efficiency.
About the Role
- Analyse existing freight operations across multiple sites, identifying inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Visit different operational sites to understand current freight processes, challenges and requirements on the ground.
- Review freight movements, transport providers, routes and delivery processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Work closely with site managers, operational teams and key stakeholders to understand what is working and where improvements can be made.
- Develop and implement consistent freight processes and best practices across the wider business.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing freight costs, improving service levels and streamlining operations.
About You
- Experience across logistics, freight or supply chain, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret freight data, identify trends and turn findings into practical improvements.
- Experience reviewing transport operations, freight costs and logistics processes.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and recommend better ways of working.
- Comfortable working with different stakeholders, from site-based operational teams through to senior management.
- Hands-on approach and happy to travel between different sites/states to understand operations and drive change.
- Strong Excel and systems skills, with the ability to produce meaningful reporting and analysis.
