This role is ideal for someone who brings warmth, confidence and plenty of enthusiasm, while understanding the importance of helping older people stay engaged, involved and connected.If you're the kind of person who can walk into a room, start a conversation with anyone, and leave a lasting positive impression, we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleAs a Lifestyle Assistant, you will support the delivery of activities and experiences that encourage participation, social interaction and enjoyment for residents.Working closely with the broader care team, you'll build strong relationships with residents, support group and individual activities, and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment.About YouYou may have worked as a Lifestyle Assistant, Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant, Diversional Therapist, Recreational Activities Officer, Support Worker, or within aged care, hospitality or community services.To be successful, you will bring:Experience supporting lifestyle, leisure, wellbeing or recreational programs, preferably within aged care, community services, disability support or a similar environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residentsA Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (desirable)First Aid and CPR certification (desirable)Currently holds, or willing to obtain a current Police CheckBasic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Outlook, online systems and electronic documentation.Knowledge of supporting people living with dementia.A friendly, outgoing nature and the ability to connect with people from all walks of lifeValid Australian work rights (sponsorship is not available for this position)A genuine alignment with our values of Integrity, Compassion, Excellence and CourageMost importantly, you're someone who brings warmth, humour and energy to your work, making people feel welcome, valued and eager to be involved.About UsWe are one of Australia’s largest and most diverse not-for-profit organisations, with over 140 years of care and compassion at the heart of our mission.
