Lead Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to the General Manager Engineering, this role will oversee the delivery of assigned contract packages, safely, on-time and on-budget.

The Role
The Lead Mechanical Engineer supports project development from concept through commissioning and will be responsible for technical leadership and engineering oversight of consultant, contractor, and supplier delivered work. Key duties include developing scopes of work, design bases, and technical specifications; selecting and managing engineering consultants, reviewing and approving engineering deliverables to ensure compliance with BCI Minerals' standards, project requirements, safety objectives, and business strategy.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years' experience preferably in mineral processing and design of bulk material handling, Sulphate of Potash (SOP) production or salt purification facilities.
- Proven track record as lead/ senior design engineer preferably in a design consultancy business.
- Chartered Professional Engineer; or eligible for CP Eng, Engineers Australia.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 6 months.
You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
