Lead Educator (Group Leader) — St Luke's Long Day Care & Kindy, Capalaba!

We're seeking a passionate, experienced, and driven Lead Educator (Group Leader) to join our team at St Luke's Long Day Care in Capalaba, conveniently located just minutes from the Capalaba CBD. This is a full-time position of 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with sessions running between 6:45am and 6pm.

In this role, you will take the lead in our Nursery & Toddler space, with a primary focus on our Nursery room. You'll be supported with dedicated non-contact time in a structured and supportive environment, as well as ongoing mentoring from our Practice Excellence team, giving you the professional development and guidance you need to truly thrive in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver a high-quality, inclusive educational program in the Nursery and Toddler space
• Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing in a safe and nurturing environment
• Utilise dedicated non-contact time to plan, document, and reflect on the educational program
• Engage with mentoring support from the Practice Excellence team as part of your ongoing professional development
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
• Participate actively in ongoing professional and personal development
• Promote the service within the local community, aligned with Catholic Early EdCare's values and philosophy

Job Requirements:

• Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an ACECQA approved equivalent — essential for this role
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
• A valid Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in a lead educator or room leader role is highly regarded
