Lead Construction Supervisor - ITS
- Plan and coordinate construction activities to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and mitigate risks, delays, and issues.
- Liaise with project teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Reporting to the Construction Manager - ITS, this role is primarily office-based, focusing on the planning, coordination, and management of ITS construction activities. You will be responsible for ensuring works are effectively planned, resources are allocated, contractors are coordinated, and project milestones are achieved. Regular site visits will be required to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate construction activities to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Develop and manage work programs, schedules, and site readiness activities.
- Coordinate contractors, materials, plant, and equipment across multiple work fronts.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and mitigate risks, delays, and issues.
- Review and contribute to construction, HSEQ, and project documentation.
- Liaise with project teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Prepare progress reports and provide updates on project performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and provide support to field teams as required.
- Monitor contractor performance and drive accountability against project objectives.
About You
- Strong planning, scheduling, and coordination skills.
- Experience delivering ITS, transport, infrastructure, electrical, or construction projects.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of contractor management and project delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), roads, transport, or major infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in construction coordination, site supervision, or project delivery.
- A Grade Electrical Licence (highly regarded).
- Electrical Engineering Degree or related qualification (highly regarded).
