Are you an experienced Development Jumbo Operator looking to move away from FIFO without compromising on earning potential?

We're recruiting experienced Development Jumbo Operators to join an established underground gold mining operation in Central Victoria, currently going through an exciting period of growth and expansion.

This is an ongoing casual DIDO opportunity through Marble, with accommodation, food and fuel allowances provided while on swing. No need to relocate permanently!

The role

Working within the underground Capital Development Team, your responsibilities will include:

• Safely and efficiently operate underground Jumbo drills.
• Complete face drilling in accordance with mine plans, drill patterns and development designs.
• Undertake development drilling to support underground mine expansion.
• Complete ground support installation where required.
• Read and interpret mine plans and drilling designs to maintain accurate development advance.
• Complete pre-start inspections, machine checks and report equipment defects.
• Work closely with supervisors and underground crews to achieve development targets.
• Maintain safe and productive underground working conditions.

What we're looking for

Previous underground Development Jumbo operating experience is essential. This is not an entry-level mining opportunity.

• Proven experience operating underground Jumbo drills in hard rock mining.
• Previous underground development drilling experience essential.
• Ability to read and interpret mine plans and drill designs.
• Sandvik DD422i or DD420 operating experience highly regarded.
• Capital development experience advantageous.
• Previous narrow-vein underground mining experience desirable.
• Current Australian manual driver's licence.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork and reliable work practices.
• Ability to work a continuous rotating day/night roster.
