IT Support Specialist (12-month FTC)

Join our innovative Information Technology team on a 12-month parental leave contract, where you will play a vital role supporting our people and clients. Working alongside a close-knit and dedicated team, you will provide level 1 and level 2 support across the firm, in an entry-level position that offers an excellent foundation for building your skills and experience within a leading law firm.

The role

As part of our DevOps team, you will benefit from formal training and on-the-job learning from day one. You will gain hands-on experience with the latest technologies, including public and private cloud platforms and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.

We are committed to your professional development throughout the contract and will provide genuine exposure to career pathways in both Software Engineering and Infrastructure, depending on your interests and strengths.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to and resolving service desk requests, ensuring a high standard of client service.
  • Supporting a range of hardware and software, including Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Assisting with workstation moves, meeting room AV setups, and general IT troubleshooting.
  • Prioritising and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver seamless IT support across the firm.

About you

  • At least one year’s experience in a help desk or desktop support role, or two or more years in a customer service environment with a strong interest in IT.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer hardware, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain English to users at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening, problem-solving, and teamwork.
  • The ability to prioritise and execute tasks effectively under pressure.
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.
