IAM Engineer
- Design and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
- Integrate business applications with identity platforms and automate identity lifecycle processes.
- Collaborate with teams to strengthen access controls and reduce identity-related risks.
As our highly valued IAM Engineer based in Brisbane, your role will be to help ensure the right people have the right access at the right time, while supporting our purpose of helping all Australians own their own home.
You'll make an impact by:
- Designing, implementing and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions using SailPoint and CyberArk.
- Integrating business applications with identity platforms using modern authentication and identity technologies.
- Building and automating identity lifecycle processes, including Joiner, Mover and Leaver workflows.
- Developing enterprise-wide identity governance controls, including birthright entitlements and privileged access management
- Partnering with teams across Technology, Cyber Security and the broader business to strengthen access controls and reduce identity-related risks.
- Supporting the continual improvement of Great Southern Bank's IAM capabilities through automation, innovation and process optimisation.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex identity and access management issues.
- Supporting the management of non-human identities and third-party identity risks across the organisation.
Do things differently with us
You'll join our Cyber, Technology & Data Governance team, responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Bank's systems and data. Working with modern identity technologies and cloud platforms, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of identity security while contributing to strategic initiatives that strengthen our cyber resilience.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting IAM and PAM solutions, ideally with SailPoint and CyberArk.
- Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, access governance and privileged access controls
- Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP and modern authentication technologies.
- Knowledge of federation and authentication standards including SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using technologies such as PowerShell, Python or Java/BeanShell.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline. We'd love it if you also have:
- Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated environments.
- A passion for automation, security innovation and continuous improvement.
