Your New CompanyHays Trades & Labour is partnering with a well-established and growing HVAC services provider operating throughout Canberra and the surrounding region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a supportive team that values work-life balance, employee wellbeing and long-term career development.
Your New RoleAs an HVAC Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, maintenance and fault-finding across a variety of residential and commercial heating and cooling systems. Your duties will include:
- Fault-finding and diagnosing HVAC system issues
- Carrying out maintenance and repair work
- Servicing a variety of heating and cooling systems
- Providing exceptional customer service on-site
- Identifying replacement opportunities for ageing or underperforming equipment
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior technicians
- Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
- Working closely with management to ensure customer satisfaction and quality outcomes.
What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current Refrigeration Licence
- White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Previous HVAC service and maintenance experience
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
- Experience working across multiple HVAC brands and systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience mentoring apprentices
- Fourth-year apprentices are encouraged to apply
- Residential and commercial service experience
