Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team at Tropicana.

This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of HSEQ across an operational mining village, working closely with site leaders, frontline teams and client stakeholders to maintain high standards across safety, quality and environmental performance.

Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth, this role will suit an experienced HSEQ professional who thrives in a hands-on, operational environment, balancing field engagement with systems, reporting, compliance and continuous improvement.

An ASAP start is available for the successful candidate.

The Opportunity

As an HSEQ Advisor, you'll provide practical, operational HSEQ support across the site, partnering closely with leaders and frontline teams.

This is a hands-on role, with a strong balance between on-the-ground presence and administrative responsibilities including reporting, systems, compliance and continuous improvement.

You'll play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture, supporting HSEQ across soft services, facilities and maintenance operations, food safety, accommodation standards and general site activities.

Working closely with site leadership and client stakeholders, you'll have the opportunity to identify areas for improvement, provide practical advice and help ensure HSEQ standards are consistently maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide HSEQ guidance and support across soft services, facilities and maintenance operations
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and safety observations
  • Support the development and review of risk assessments, SWMS and management plans
  • Monitor and support compliance with food safety standards, allergen management and temperature controls
  • Ensure adherence to safety management systems and client requirements
  • Investigate incidents and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Prepare and deliver HSEQ reports to senior leaders and stakeholders
  • Deliver and support training, toolbox talks and coaching sessions
  • Build strong relationships with site leaders, client representatives and operational teams
  • Monitor compliance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and environmental performance
  • Provide practical advice and support to frontline teams to improve HSEQ outcomes

About You

You're an experienced HSEQ professional who is confident working in a FIFO, operational environment, supporting both frontline teams and senior stakeholders.

You're equally comfortable in the field and behind the systems, with the ability to influence, guide and bring people together.

You'll be proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to take ownership of your area and build strong relationships across the site.

You will have:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
  • Proven experience in an HSEQ Advisor or similar role
  • Strong FIFO or remote site experience (Essential)
  • Experience across soft services, facilities or maintenance environments
  • Exposure to food safety, risk management and operational compliance
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work across both operational and administrative aspects of HSEQ
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your responsibilities

Requirements

  • Full Australian working rights
  • Valid C Class Driver's Licence
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Current National Police Check
  • Perth-based, or able to commute to Perth for flights
  • Kalgoorlie-based candidates may also be considered

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in aerodrome or aviation environments
  • Diploma in Work Health & Safety
  • Lead Auditor qualification
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
