About the Role

As a Personal Care Worker, you'll support older Australians to remain independent at home through a combination of personal care and domestic assistance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Personal care and mobility support
  • Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
  • Social support and companionship
  • Promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing

Please note: Domestic assistance is an important part of this role and may form a regular component of customer visits.

About You

We're seeking experienced carers who genuinely enjoy working one-on-one with older people in the community.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience providing personal care in aged care, disability or hospital settings and/or a qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Home & Community Care
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A passion for supporting older Australians to live independently at home
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence (International licence not accepted)
  • A comprehensively insured vehicle

Availability Requirements

  • Supporting customers across Ballarat and surrounding areas
  • Available to work at least 6 hours per day across a minimum of 3 weekdays
  • Available across service hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm
  • Commit to our paid 2-week Brilliant@Basics Training Program when you commence
