Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a collaborative and close-knit team. Your new role
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and site teams, you will play a key role in driving a proactive safety culture across multiple construction projects. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys being out on site, building relationships and influencing positive safety outcomes.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Review and manage SWMS, safety plans and compliance documentation.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, site inductions and safety training.
- Provide practical guidance and mentoring to site teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation and company policies.
- Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with project teams to ensure health, safety and wellbeing remain a key project focus.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor within the Australian construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience working on residential, mixed-use, apartment or commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and construction safety requirements.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to safety management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum requirement).
- Ability to build trust and influence positive safety behaviours across all levels of a project.
