MVR Retailers Pty Ltd, trading as Mobile Experts On the Spot Repairs, operates a mobile device repair, accessories and technology retail business with a national presence. The business provides repair services for mobile phones, tablets and other supported electronic devices, alongside a broad range of mobile accessories and device protection products. Its Castle Hill office also supports the wider Mobile Experts network and associated online operations. Mobile Experts currently promotes more than 70 locations Australia-wide and a large range of mobile accessories supplied from its Sydney operations.
About the Role
Mobile Experts On the Spot Repairs is seeking an experienced Hardware Technician to support technical repair and device servicing activities from its Castle Hill operations. The successful candidate will diagnose hardware faults, undertake component-level repairs and replacements, test repaired devices and maintain accurate technical records while ensuring repairs meet company quality standards.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus Superannuation
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose hardware faults in mobile phones, tablets and other supported electronic devices
- Assess damaged devices and determine appropriate repair methods and replacement components
- Repair and replace faulty components including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, buttons and other internal parts
- Use specialised diagnostic equipment, repair tools and software to identify and resolve hardware faults
- Perform functional testing and quality checks to confirm repaired devices operate correctly before return or dispatch
- Complete software installation, updates and basic troubleshooting where required to support hardware functionality
- Record diagnostic findings, repairs completed and replacement components used
- Maintain repair tools, testing equipment and replacement component inventory
- Investigate recurring device faults and identify appropriate technical solutions
- Complete repairs in accordance with company quality standards, manufacturer requirements and workplace safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe technical repair workspace
Candidate Requirements
- Certificate III, Certificate IV or Diploma in Electronics, Computer Hardware, Information Technology, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience repairing mobile phones, tablets or comparable electronic devices
- Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing hardware faults using specialised repair tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, hardware testing and fault-finding techniques
- Good understanding of mobile device hardware and related software troubleshooting
- Excellent attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple repairs and meet expected turnaround times
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
