Position: General Practitioner

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Broadbeach QLD 4218

Our client is seeking a General Practitioner to join their medical centre located in Broadbeach, Queensland.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assessing patients through clinical examination and consultation to identify the underlying cause of symptoms, and maintaining accurate patient health records
• Requesting and reviewing pathology tests, imaging (such as X-rays) and other diagnostic investigations to support an accurate diagnosis
• Delivering ongoing, whole-person patient care, including prescribing medications and recommending appropriate treatment plans
• Reviewing how patients are responding to treatment over time and adjusting management plans as needed
• Providing lifestyle guidance — covering diet, physical activity and other health behaviours — to help prevent illness or support recovery
• Liaising with and referring patients to relevant specialists, and sharing clinical information as part of coordinated care
• Notifying the relevant government or health authorities of births, deaths and notifiable diseases in line with reporting obligations
• Coordinating hospital admissions for patients requiring further treatment

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in a relevant field
• At least 5 years’ experience working as a General Practitioner
• Current registration with AHPRA
• Vocationally registered General Practitioner (FRACGP or equivalent)
• Previous experience working in an Australian general practice setting
• Warm, reliable, and professional, with the ability to work independently
