Forklift Operator
- Join a dedicated logistics team as a Forklift Operator.
- Operate counterbalance and twin tyne forklifts for loading and unloading freight.
- Ensure safety and efficiency in handling both general and non-standard freight.
About the Role
We’re looking for dedicated and motivated Full Time Forklift Operators to join our logistics team on Dayshift or Afternoon Shift working from our Penfield Depot.
Day Shift 6.00am to 2:30pm
Afternoon Shift 2.30pm to 10.30pm
Overtime is available on weekends and public holidays.
Job Description
Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, containers and rail wagons
- Sorting, labelling and checking freight against customer delivery paperwork
- Restraining loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide
- Handling both general and non-standard freight
- Counterbalance and Twin Tyne forklift operation
- Palletise and pack loads as required
- Lifting and dunnage duties
- Perform stocktaking and checking of freight
- General cleaning duties.
- Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, containers, and rail wagons and moving freight to and from the warehouse environment
- Join a family friendly, safety focussed team
- Stable hours operating from our Penfield site, overtime is available

Essential Licensing, Experience and Requirements:
The successful candidate must:
- Hold a current LF High Risk Work licence
- Have experience operating a Forklift in a transport environment coupled with moving freight in a safe and efficient manner following load restraint and COR procedures
- Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility
- Be reliable and punctual and have a strong work ethic
- Be flexibility with start and finish times
- Have a strong safety focus
- Possess a passion for providing a high-level of service with a positive attitude and work collaboratively within a team.
