Floor Tiler

AC TILING and Stone Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Floor Tiler for a permanent full-time position based in Cranbourne North VIC 3977. The successful candidate will undertake professional tiling work, including surface preparation, measuring and setting out, cutting and laying tiles, and completing finishes to the required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Examining plans, specifications and work requirements to determine tiling requirements.
• Measuring and marking surfaces to establish the layout and positioning of tiles.
• Preparing floor and wall surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, levelling and applying appropriate preparation materials.
• Measuring, cutting and shaping tiles to fit around edges, corners, fixtures and other obstacles.
• Preparing and applying adhesives and other fixing materials.
• Laying and positioning tiles accurately to achieve appropriate alignment, spacing and finish.
• Applying grout and completing joints and edges to a professional standard.
• Checking completed work for alignment, level, finish and overall quality.
• Using and maintaining tiling tools and equipment safely.
• Maintaining clean and safe work areas and complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

About You

• At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Floor Tiler.
• Practical experience in surface preparation, tile cutting, laying and finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, measurements and job specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve accurate finishes.
• Good knowledge of tiling tools, materials and installation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Salary: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
