Rops Engineering Australia are an engineering business specialising in heavy vehicle body modifications and Roll Over / Falling Object Protective Structures, (ROPS and FOPS) for heavy vehicles.
We're looking for experienced individuals to join our team in Forrestdale in a Fitter position.
The successful applicants will have at least 2 years' experience working in similar role.
Duties for the Fitter role include:
- Assisting the Engineers with helping to update drawings and files to keep up to date with the latest vehicle changes
- Interpret job cards and drawings to identify parts required for installation
- Inspecting the finished work and maintenance of components and parts
- Service and repair of necessary parts/machines
- Installation of cranes and associated hardware, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic
- Disassembly and reassembly of vehicle components to install required hardware.
- Use of power tools, battery operated and pneumatic tools, hand tools
- Responsible for housekeeping and keeping work area free from hazards
We're looking for someone who is motivated, self-driven, has an interest in mechanical systems, and has experience working autonomously or as part of a team. A salary of $78,000 - $110,000 will be offered to the successful applicant for this role.
