genU is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Accounting Manager to lead our Financial Accounting team, providing expert financial leadership, governance, and commercial insights that support business performance, informed decision-making, and organisational growth.

What you’ll do 

•    Lead and develop a high-performing Financial Accounting team, providing coaching, mentorship, and strategic financial leadership across the organisation.
•    Oversee statutory reporting, annual financial accounts, and external audit processes, ensuring accuracy, governance, and compliance.
•    Drive financial reporting and analysis that delivers meaningful insights, supports decision-making, and enhances organisational performance.
•    Strengthen financial controls, risk management, and financial systems to improve efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
•    Provide expert guidance on taxation, government funding, and strategic initiatives, including complex financial and commercial matters.

What you’ll bring

•    CA or CPA qualified, with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
•    Proven ability to interpret complex business drivers, risks, and financial impacts, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
•    Demonstrated experience leading teams, setting priorities, and building strong collaborative relationships across diverse internal and external stakeholder groups.
•    Strong technical expertise in financial accounting, annual statutory reporting, risk management, ERP systems, and management reporting.
•    Commercially astute and solutions-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and developing high-performing teams.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
