About the Role

This is a finance business partnering position for a finance professional who can challenge assumptions, translate complex financial data into clear insight and support leaders to balance mission outcomes with financial sustainability. The role contributes to strategic initiatives, transformational programs and the continued development of financial capability across the Society.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building trusted relationships with senior leaders across assigned portfolios, acting as the primary finance advisor for operational stakeholders.
• Translating complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights and recommendations that influence strategic and operational decision-making.
• Contributing financial expertise to organisational planning, strategic priorities, transformation initiatives and governance forums.
• Identifying emerging financial risks and opportunities and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Analysing financial and operational performance, including trends in revenue, expenditure and productivity, and supporting monthly performance reviews with operational leaders.
• Delivering timely, actionable performance reporting and assisting with the development of financial and operational KPIs.
• Supporting rolling forecast, budget and planning processes, including scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling.
• Leading financial analysis for business cases, investment decisions and strategic initiatives, including assessment of affordability, risk and expected benefits.

About you

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business.
• CA/CPA qualified or progressing towards qualification completion.
• Minimum three years' experience in management accounting, business partnering, FP&A, commercial finance or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic financial advice to senior leaders and influencing business outcomes.
• Experience leading financial analysis, business cases and investment assessments.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capability.
• Sound understanding of project costing, business cases, investment analysis and benefits tracking.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working across financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience in multi-site, not-for-profit, community services or other complex service delivery environments is highly regarded.
