As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in securing profitable projects and supporting the continued growth of the business. Working closely with the Sales and Estimating team, you will be responsible for managing the tender process from initial opportunity identification through to project handover.Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and evaluating tender opportunities through industry networks and tender portals.
• Reviewing and interpreting tender documentation, including drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
• Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates using manual and computerised take-off methods.
• Sourcing and assessing supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure compliance and commercial competitiveness.
• Investigating alternative design solutions and value-engineering opportunities.
• Preparing tender submissions, pricing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Participating in site inspections and coordinating supplier and subcontractor attendance where required.
• Managing tender opportunities within the CRM system and maintaining accurate records.
• Assisting with tender negotiations and providing additional information to clients as required.
• Conducting project handovers and providing ongoing support to project delivery teams.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and industry stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A minimum of three years' experience in an Estimator or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of the building services industry, with particular experience in HVAC estimating and sales.
• Experience preparing accurate and commercially sound tenders for commercial projects.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience using industry estimating software.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• A proactive, results-driven approach and strong relationship-building capabilities.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.

Desirable:

• Experience using Blue beam.
• Exposure to broader building services disciplines.
• Leadership, management or relevant software certifications.
