Due to our client’s continued growth and increase in projects they are looking for an Estimating Manager who has a proven track record in converting opportunities into revenue with projects that are including electrical, communications and technology scopes with a strong understanding of key project parameters, project financials, controls and reporting.
Responsibilities include; but not limited to:
- Reviewing construction plans and documents
- Facilitating continuous improvement of the estimating function by analysing past work, and implementing improvements
- Assist in planning and scheduling of projects
- Assessing and estimating project costs i.e labour, materials and subcontract
- Compiling quotes, offers, proposals and tender documents
- Sourcing leads and new projects
- Working with the Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and specifications
- Develop relationships with key clients and suppliers
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Extensive hands on experience in the development of accurate and competitive pricing
- Proven ability in putting together submission of superior quality and capabilities profiles
- Analytical with high attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise
- Self-motivated with excellent leadership skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- High levels of computer literacy including the knowledge of estimating systems
- Degree qualified desired but not essential
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia to be eligible for this role
