Are you a licensed electrician with experience training, assessing or developing others?
Appoint Recruit is seeking an Electrical Training & Capability Coordinator to support a major Queensland Government road infrastructure team based at its Nerang depot.
Combining electrical expertise with training and workforce development, you will help strengthen technical capability across electrical, intelligent transport systems and civil electrical disciplines. This could suit an Electrical Trainer or Assessor, Electrical Supervisor, Leading Hand or experienced electrician who has supported apprentices, delivered workplace training or managed competency requirements.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Coordinating electrical training and competency activities
Maintaining training plans, competency records and assessment evidence
Supporting practical training and technical knowledge transfer
Updating learning resources, technical guidance and training content
Coaching apprentices, electrical workers, project managers and supervisors
Contributing to electrical safety, quality and workforce development initiatives
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You will need an established electrical trade background combined with experience in training, assessment, competency development, supervision or technical leadership.
The mandatory requirements are:
- Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence in the Electrical Mechanic class
- Current C class driver licence
- Ability to work onsite from the Nerang depot
A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable but not essential. Experience across traffic signals, road lighting, ITS, civil electrical infrastructure, utilities, rail, mining or industrial environments would also be well regarded.
