- DIDO from Perth to regional project sites (Wheatbelt and Goldfields locations)
- Day shift, with potential for ad-hoc night shift

About Our Client
Our client is a leading provider of infrastructure and road construction services across Western Australia. They are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Stabilisation Operator to join their road construction crews working across regional projects throughout the Wheatbelt and Goldfields. This is an ongoing opportunity with an initial 36 month tenure and potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
What you will be Doing
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating Wirtgen 240 stabilisation equipment across regional road infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced operator who is reliable, safety-focused and comfortable working extended shifts in an outdoor road construction environment.
Duties include:
- Operating and maintaining Wirtgen 240 stabilisation equipment safely and efficiently
- Carrying out stabilisation works across regional road infrastructure projects
- Operating equipment in accordance with project specifications, work instructions and site requirements
- Completing daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
- Reporting equipment faults, defects and maintenance requirements
- Monitoring machine operation and stabilisation quality throughout each shift
- Assisting with the set-up and preparation of work areas prior to stabilisation activities
- Working closely with supervisors, labourers and other plant operators to ensure works are completed efficiently
- Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy work area
- Complying with all relevant site, safety and environmental procedures
- Working as part of a road construction crew across multiple regional project locations
- Undertaking general plant and site duties as required
What you will need
- Previous stabilisation operator experience
- Demonstrated experience operating stabilisers or similar heavy mobile plant
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and quality
- Ability to work a 10:4 DIDO roster from Perth
- Willingness and ability to travel to regional project sites throughout the Wheatbelt and Goldfields
- Reliable and physically capable of working 1012 hour shifts in an outdoor road construction environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a road construction crew
- Strong understanding of site safety procedures and work instructions
- Ability to complete daily pre-starts and equipment checks
