Lumia Care is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to support clients living independently at home across the Upper Central Coast (Wamberal, Wyong and surrounds) and Lower Central Coast (Umina, Wyong and surrounds).

About the Role:

As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in empowering our clients to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own homes.

What we're looking for:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, or Aged Care (highly regarded)

• Previous experience in aged care, disability, or community support (essential)

• Strong communication and observational skills

• A patient, reliable, and compassionate approach

• Current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (essential)

• Previous experience in manual handling, hoist & transfers (highly regarded)

Role responsibilities:

• Provide social support and companionship

• Assist with transport to appointments, shopping, and community activities

• Deliver personal care with dignity and respect (showering, grooming, dressing)

• Support clients with domestic tasks and meal preparation

• Help clients maintain independence in their own homes

Mandatory Requirements:

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Police Check

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Working with Children Check

• Full Australian work rights

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
