Bricklayer – Full-Time

About the Company

Eagle Hawk Facility Services Pty Ltd is an ACT-based business providing landscaping and associated outdoor construction services. Our work includes landscape construction, hard landscaping, brickwork and masonry structures associated with residential and commercial landscaping projects.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bricklayer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis to support our ongoing landscaping and outdoor construction projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings and specifications to determine bricklaying requirements, materials and dimensions.

Measuring, setting out and preparing work areas for bricklaying and masonry construction.

Laying bricks, concrete blocks and other masonry materials using mortar to construct walls, retaining structures, garden walls and other masonry features.

Mixing and preparing mortar and other bonding materials to the required specifications.

Cutting, shaping and positioning bricks and blocks using appropriate hand and power tools.

Constructing brick garden walls, raised garden beds, outdoor steps and other masonry structures associated with landscaping projects.

Ensuring brickwork is accurately aligned, level, plumb and finished according to construction specifications.

Installing damp-proofing materials and completing mortar joints, pointing and finishing work.

Inspecting, repairing and maintaining existing brickwork and masonry structures.

Coordinating with other tradespeople and landscaping teams to complete construction projects efficiently.

Maintaining workplace safety standards and ensuring compliance with relevant Australian building codes and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying or an equivalent relevant qualification.

Minimum 1 year of relevant bricklaying experience.

Demonstrated experience in brick and block construction, masonry walls and related structures.

Ability to interpret construction plans and technical specifications.

Proficiency in using bricklaying hand tools, power tools and equipment.

Sound knowledge of construction safety practices and quality standards.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication, problem-solving and time management skills.

Construction White Card or ability to obtain one before commencing work.

What We Offer

Permanent full-time employment, 38 hours per week.

Annual salary of $80,000 – $82,000 plus superannuation.

Ongoing work across landscaping and masonry construction projects.
