Paint & Blast Traineeship

Based in Karratha or Paraburdoo, WA on a 2:1 roster, this exciting opportunity combines hands-on industry experience with formal training, allowing you to work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application to become a qualified Painter and Blaster.

Throughout the traineeship, you'll develop the skills and knowledge required to prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to a range of assets, including structural steel, pipelines, mining equipment and marine infrastructure. These coatings help protect assets from corrosion, weather exposure and operational wear, extending asset life and supporting safe, reliable operations.

As a Paint & Blast Trainee, you will:

• Commit to completing the 3-year traineeship program
• Attend and actively participate in all training and assessment requirements
• Learn and apply paint and blast techniques in line with industry standards and procedures
• Follow safe work practices and contribute to a positive safety culture
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, mentors and team members
• Take ownership of your learning and development
• Contribute positively to team goals while building your capability and confidence
