Kingsley College is seeking a permanent full-time Secondary Physics Teacher, based in Rockhampton, QLD, commencing Term 1, 2027.

Help Shape the Next Chapter

As a Secondary Physics Teacher, you will teach physics across secondary year levels, both in the classroom and through distance education. You'll bring complex concepts to life in an engaging way, building genuine rapport and connection with your students.

Joining a collaborative and connected team of educators, you will also have the option to help run extra-curricular activities that interest you.

You may also have a Homeroom class for 15 minutes each morning, taking responsibility for your students' pastoral care.

Is This You?

You will have:

  • A minimum Bachelor's Degree in Education or equivalent
  • Queensland Teacher's Registration, or the ability to obtain
  • High-level communication skills with staff, students and families
  • Strong digital literacy

Graduate and experienced teachers alike are encouraged to apply. Prior teaching experience and experience teaching via distance education would be an advantage, though not essential.

You will be passionate about your subject and comfortable building rapport with students on both an individual and virtual basis. You will have the ability to implement the school's Christian values and philosophy in the classroom and other aspects of College life, fostering faith and delivering positive educational outcomes for students.

You will be comfortable serving students from a range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds — high achievers and those with learning difficulties alike — adapting your approach to each student's needs.
