We invite Sparkways employees to apply for the Teacher vacancies listed below for 2027. 

Keep checking this page. Vacancies, group allocations and timetables are tentative and will be updated as enrolments are confirmed. 

How to apply 

Applications for the first round close at 9.00 am on Friday 23 October 2026. 

Review the vacancies and research the kindergartens and groups

    Inner suburbs 

    No vacancies at this time. 

    Northern suburbs 

    Blossom Park – Mill Park – Nominated Supervisor 

    • 5 hours per week 

    Greater Beveridge – Team ECT – suitable for early career teacher 

    • Echidna Group – Thursdays – 7.5 hours per week  

    Western suburbs 

    Diggers Rest – ECT and Education Leader – Experienced Teachers only

    • Red Group – Mon & Thu – 22.5 hrs per week
    • Education Leader – 3.5 hours per week

    Laa Yulta (Mambourin) – ECT – suitable for Early Career Teacher 

    • Olive Group – Tue & Fri – 22.5 hrs per week –  

    Laa Yulta (Mambourin) – Team ECT – suitable for Early Career Teacher 

    • Possum Group – Tuesdays – 11.25 hrs per week 

    Melton West – Team ECT – Experienced Teachers only 

    • Yellow Group – Tuesdays OR Fridays to be confirmed – 11.25 hrs per week 

    Mt Carberry (Melton South) – Team ECT – suitable for Early Career Teacher 

    • Group and day to be confirmed – 11.25 hrs per week 

    Plumpton (Fraser Rise) – ECT – Experienced Teachers only 

    • Blue Group – Mon, Wed & Thu – 33.75 hrs per week

    Vacancies and timetables may change 

    The positions listed are tentative. Groups, session times and available hours may change as enrolments and timetables are confirmed. 

    Rostered hours 

    Your roster will include at least 15 minutes before and after each session, in addition to your planning time. Planning time will be scheduled with your Nominated Supervisor and Co-educators. 

    Priority for teachers whose hours or groups are changing 

    Teachers who are losing significant hours or whose groups are closing will be offered available vacancies before those vacancies are advertised to all internal staff. 

    Team Teacher vacancies 

    If a Team Teacher vacancy is for less than a full day, it may be offered directly to a teacher already working at that kindergarten. 

    Vacancies suitable for Early Career Teachers 

    Not all vacancies are suitable for Early Career Teachers. Early Learning Managers will consider: 

    • The complexity of the kindergarten group. 
    • The level of support available from the Nominated Supervisor and Education Leader. 

    Usually, only one Teacher position at each kindergarten will be suitable for an Early Career Teacher.
