About the Role
Shape strategy, influence critical decisions and drive meaningful transformation at Swinburne.
As Strategy Manager, you'll join Strategy & Performance, the University's internal strategy and advisory function, partnering with senior leaders to tackle complex challenges and drive some of Swinburne's most significant strategic, commercial and transformation priorities. Your work will directly support executive decision-making, delivering the insight, analysis and strategic advice needed to translate ambitious goals into meaningful outcomes.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you'll lead high-impact strategic engagements from problem definition through to recommendation and implementation. From developing business cases and operating models to shaping major initiatives across the Ad Astra portfolio and broader University agenda, you'll provide trusted advice to senior stakeholders, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and deliver strategic insights that drive impactful decisions and meaningful outcomes across the University.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Scope and deliver discrete strategy engagements end-to-end - from problem definition through analysis to recommendation - with clear accountability for engagement and program performance
- Structure ambiguous, high-stakes problems into clear, MECE work plans with defined deliverables and decision points
- Build and interrogate financial, margin and unit-economic models to derive decision-grade insight
- Develop business cases, value-pool sizing and scenario analysis to test strategic and commercial options
- Lead the development, carriage and implementation of new planning approaches - including integrated business planning - across the institution
- Design operating models, governance and ways of working that improve effectiveness and accountability

- Act as a trusted advisor to sponsors, portfolio leaders and senior stakeholders, building credibility and confidence

Qualifications
Completion of a bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant executive administration experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
