As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the business, leading a dedicated team whilst ensuring operational excellence across customer service, inventory management, logistics, and financial performance.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a community-focused environment and can confidently manage all aspects of a busy retail operation.
Your Leadership Impact
- Lead and promote a customer-first culture across the business.

- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members.
- Manage staff performance, rostering, and workforce planning.

- Oversee inventory management, stock control, and stock take processes ensuring high levels of stock accuracy and product availability
- Maintain exceptional standards of store presentation, merchandising, and housekeeping.
- Manage and analyse store Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
- Develop and execute plans to improve profitability and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor sales, margins, wages, and expenses against budget expectations.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle, safety, and transport requirements.
- Maintain a safe and compliant workplace for employees and customers.
The Leader We're Looking For
- Has proven retail management experience, ideally within hardware, building supplies, rural merchandise, trade, or a similar industry.
- Is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and building strong customer relationships.
- Has strong inventory management and stock control experience.
- Demonstrates excellent people leadership skills and can coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Possesses strong commercial acumen and experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
- Can effectively manage budgets, wages, stock turn, margins, and overall store profitability.
- Is highly organised, proactive, and solutions focused.
- Is willing to be hands-on in all areas of the business, including customer deliveries when required.
- Holds a current driver's licence (forklift license advantageous).
