FORKLIFT OPERATOR/FRONT END LOADER
- Operate Front End Loader and Forklift safely and efficiently
- Load and unload fertiliser products and assist with general yard operations
- Maintain stockpiles and storage areas and complete pre-start inspections
Protech are currently seeking an experienced Front End Loader / Forklift Operator to join a fertiliser plant operation based at Cairns Wharf. This is a great opportunity for operators looking to secure steady work in Cairns through to Christmas with a well-established local operation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Commencing ASAP
- Casual position
- Monday to Friday roster
- $33.85 per hour
- Occasional night shifts and weekend work required
- Peak season role with work available through to Christmas 2026
- Based at Cairns Wharf
- Working within a fertiliser processing and distribution facility
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate Front End Loader and Forklift safely and efficiently
- Load and unload fertiliser products
- Assist with general yard and plant operations
- Maintain stockpiles and storage areas
- Complete pre-start inspections and basic equipment housekeeping
- Follow all site safety procedures and workplace requirements
- Assist with general labouring duties as required
TICKETS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Demonstrated Front End Loader operating experience
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Construction White Card preferred
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Availability to work occasional night shifts and weekends
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, plant or bulk materials environment highly regarded
