About the role.
We have an exciting and rewarding support opportunity to share with you. Located in Parap, you will be part of a 24/7 care team supporting a female with an Intellectual Disability. You will provide assistance with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, continence management and many other duties. An extensive onboarding program will be provided with buddy shifts to help you with your transition.
Your key responsibilities
Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker, who can undertake the following key responsibilities,
- Personal Care
- Medication Administration
- Continence Management
- Assist with managing and regulating challenging behaviours
- Meal Preparation
- General Household Tasks
- Drive the client to appointments / community access
About you.
To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or above (relevant care certificates will also be considered)
- Experience with Behavioural Management
- Accredited Manual Handling Certificate and experience (essential)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Yellow Card/NDIS Worker's Screening Check
- NDIS Orientation Module
- English Fluency - verbal and written
- Full Drivers Licence
- Personal Vehicle with Fully comprehensive car insurance
