MR Truck Driver New

ProQuest Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and experienced MR Truck Driver to join a successful and supportive team based at our client's Dandenong South Distribution Centre.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced MR driver looking for stable, ongoing Monday-to-Friday work with a well-established operation that places a strong focus on safety, reliability and customer service.
About the Role
As an MR Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely completing deliveries representing the business professionally and ensuring goods are transported safely and efficiently.
You will work alone and at times alongside an offsider and be supported with appropriate equipment to assist with manual handling requirements.
Your day-to-day duties may include:
- Operating an MR truck safely and responsibly
- Completing scheduled metro deliveries and collections
- Loading and unloading goods safely
- Working alongside an offsider
- Completing manual handling duties as required
- Using support equipment including tilt trolleys and dollies
- Ensuring goods are handled and delivered safely
- Completing delivery paperwork and following company procedures
- Providing professional customer service at delivery locations
- Maintaining a clean and safe vehicle and work environment
- Following all workplace, road and manual handling safety requirements
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will be reliable, safety-focused and physically capable of performing the requirements of the role.
You will have:
- Current Manual MR Licence – essential
- Previous strong MR driving experience
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm with OT if required
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling duties
- No history of recurring injury that may impact the requirements of the role
- Ability to safely load and unload goods
- Strong understanding of safe manual handling practices
- Excellent reliability and attendance
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively alongside an offsider and wider team
- Ability to work independently when required
- Full Australian working rights – no restricted visas
- Ability to speak and understand English clearly
- Ability to complete a police check
- Available to commence ASAP
- Genuine interest in securing long-term, ongoing employment
