About the role
We are exclusively working on an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with financial services operations experience to step into a broader, strategic role. In this role, you'll be responsible for managing business improvement and transformation projects from start to finish. This includes technology projects, process improvements, and supporting company acquisitions (M&A).
This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who has built their career within a financial planning practice and is looking to leverage their operational experience in a business improvement and transformation focused position.
Your role will be to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve the intended business outcomes.
- Leading projects from initiation through to completion
- Developing project plans, timelines and implementation strategies
- Working closely with advisers, executive leadership and operational teams
- Providing regular progress updates to senior stakeholders
- Managing project risks, issues and dependencies
- Driving process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Supporting the implementation of new systems and technology
- Leading change management and ensuring successful adoption across teams
- Assisting with acquisition and integration projects as the business continues to grow
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within a financial planning or wealth management business is essential
- Experience as a Compliance Manager, Head of Operations, Operations Manager, Practice Manager, or similar role highly regarded
- Strong understanding of advice operations, compliance requirements, and practice management within financial planning
- Knowledge of process improvement and technology projects
- Strong leadership, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different personalities
