About the role

We are entering an exciting period of growth across Tasmania, with expanding course demand and new training opportunities on the horizon.

In this role, you will deliver and assess a range of accredited first aid courses, supporting diverse communities across urban, regional, and remote locations. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, engaging learning experiences that support positive outcomes for every participant. The role will also include supporting non-accredited training, kit and equipment management (including stock control and maintenance), and other operational duties as needed.

This role requires travel across various venues in the stated area; reliable transport is an essential requirement of the successful candidate.

What you will bring

  • Highly proficient in delivering engaging first aid training to diverse audiences
  • Strong communication skills and an engaging training style
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently
  • Well organised with strong time management and administration skills
  • Confident using digital systems, with a strong focus on quality and compliance

Essential requirements

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent
  • Own reliable transport
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Current Working with Children Check

Desirable

  • Experience delivering to a diverse range of clients
  • Understanding of ASQA compliance requirements
  • Current first aid qualifications (e.g. HLTAID011 or higher)
  • Experience in first aid, emergency response, lifeguarding, outdoor education, or related industries
  • Ability to deliver specialised or higher-level first aid training (highly regarded)

Further information 

This role is covered by the Educational Services (Post-Secondary Education) Award 2020, Level 9. Pay from $75.93/hour (inclusive of casual loading) + superannuation, plus access to salary packaging.
