About the Opportunity
Join our Moorebank operations team as a Fleet Allocator and play a vital role in ensuring freight is moved safely, efficiently and on schedule. This position is ideal for a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment and enjoys working closely with drivers, customers and operational teams to deliver outstanding service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating and allocating daily transport movements to meet customer and operational requirements
- Monitoring delivery schedules and ensuring freight movements are completed on time
- Managing driver and fleet utilisation to maximise operational efficiency
- Liaising with drivers, customers and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues
- Tracking vehicle, trailer and equipment movements across the network
- Maintaining accurate transport records and updating Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Providing drivers with job information, documentation and operational support
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, safety requirements and compliance obligations
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a transport allocation, fleet scheduling, logistics coordination or similar role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage changing priorities
- Sound computer skills and experience using transport management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly
- A team-focused approach with a commitment to safety and customer service
