Since the organizational growth and developments demands we are looking for a dynamic and experienced candidate to join us an HSEQ Advisor in Sydney.
As an HSEQ Advisor, you will be required to provide specialist HSEQ support to operational teams across NSW & QLD, partnering with Site Managers and Supervisors to strengthen safety culture, reduce risk, and ensure compliant service delivery. The role supports statutory compliance, manages Workers Compensation and Public Liability processes, maintains safety systems and client compliance portals, and provides expert HSEQ advice to drive continuous improvement across operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides specialist HSEQ support and coaching to operational teams and ensures safe and compliant service delivery across diverse client environments.
  • Partners closely with Site managers and Supervisors to improve safety behaviour, reduce risk, supports compliance with client expectations, and drive continuous improvement across all operations.
  • Supports statutory compliance.
  • Lead site-based HSEQ activities through regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with legislative and company requirements.
  • Effective implementation of and adherence to the Workers Compensation system, supporting injured workers, aiding in returning injured workers to pre-injury function and reducing cost of claims.
  • Effective implementation of the Public Liability claims system, working with the insurance broker and operational managers to ensure timely provision of information and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide key stakeholders with guidance and advice on HSEQ matters.
  • Educate, coach, and support operational teams on HSEQ systems, procedures, and best practices to build capability and drive consistent standards.
  • Maintenance and support of the workforce safety and compliance management software.
  • Oversee contractor management processes, including onboarding, qualification reviews, compliance monitoring, and record maintenance.
  • Work with the business to maintain the third-party customer compliance portals, as applicable.

Qualifications & Experience To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Essential

  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in HSEQ, WHS, Risk, or Compliance roles
  • Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and statutory compliance requirements
  • Experience managing Workers Compensation and Return-to-Work processes
  • Experience coordinating Public Liability claims
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, coaching, and influencing skills
  • Experience using safety and compliance management systems
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to travel as required

Desirable

  • Diploma or higher qualification in WHS, HSEQ, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Experience within Facilities Management, Cleaning, Property Services, or a multi-site operational environment
  • ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and/or ISO 14001 auditing experience
  • Experience managing customer compliance portals and contractor management systems
  • Return-to-Work Coordinator and injury management experience
  • Experience driving safety culture, behavioural change, and continuous improvement initiatives
