Hotel Services Multi Skilled

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Hotel Services team member to join the residential aged care team at our Inglewood site on a permanent part-time basis.
As a valued member of our Hotel Services team, you will help maintain a clean, sanitary and welcoming home-like environment; deliver thorough and efficient laundry services; and prepare meals and refreshments for and with Brightwater Care Group clients, while complying with all relevant health codes and regulations.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in a similar position, including kitchen duties in a commercial kitchen. Experience in an aged care kitchen will be viewed favourably.
This permanent part-time position offers 20 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate will work the following shifts:
- Week one: Thursday, 8 am–1 pm and 3 pm–7.30 pm
- Week two: Wednesday, 3 pm–7.30 pm
- Week two: Friday, 7 am–1.30 pm
To be considered for this rewarding role, you must be available to work these three days each fortnight. Opportunities to pick up additional shifts may also be available.

Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary and homely environment
- Providing a quality meal experience for our clients that aligns with aged care standards
- Ordering and maintaining cleaning and kitchen supplies
- Providing an efficient laundry service
- Complying with FoodSafe requirements and other health codes and regulations
To be suitable for this role, you must possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role, which must include commercial kitchen duties, preferably in aged care or a similar setting
- Knowledge of cooking and food preparation, including safe meal preparation and presentation
- A demonstrated understanding of food safety, including appropriate food temperatures and temperature danger zones
- Knowledge of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) levels
- Knowledge of and experience in cleaning and/or laundry services
- A caring and positive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences
- A demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads, work effectively under pressure, solve problems and use resources safely, efficiently and effectively
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old
- A satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check
