Job Description:

At Cleve Area school we strive to support each individual to achieve their personal best. We have a proud history of students undertaking tertiary studies, traineeships and almost all have been gainfully employed after completing year 12. We are currently seeking an Operational Services Manager with a passion for agriculture to join our team.

What you will do: 

  • Lead the day to day commercial operation of Sims Farm.

  • Collaborate with staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

  • Support the Agricultural Education by assisting teachers to deliver the program.

  • Assist in the development of the Agricultural teaching program.

  • Operate and manage farm equipment.

  • Manage sheep (tagging / flocking) and ensure flock health.

What you will bring: 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of a range of sustainable farming practices, particularly those involved in a dryland, broad-acre farming enterprise.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain a variety of equipment commonly used in agriculture.

  • Ability to establish sound and effective relationships with staff, students, parents, local farmers, industry specialists, and sponsors.

  • Ability to work without direct supervision and plan own daily/weekly routines.
