Curlew Cafe is a café and convenience store located near the ferry terminal on Coochiemudlo Island, Queensland. The business provides dine-in food and beverage services to local residents, visitors and tourists. Its menu includes a range of breakfast and lunch meals, pastries, burgers, fish and chips, coffee and other refreshments. The business also provides catering services and a selection of convenience products for the local community.
They are currently seeking Restaurant Managers to support its growing operations and ensure continuity of high-quality food preparation and service.

Salary Package: $78,000 - $83,000 AUD
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the restaurant’s day-to-day operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate restaurant staff to maintain high standards of performance.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate employees as needed.
- Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing during operating hours.
- Maintain excellent customer service and promptly address customer concerns or complaints.
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and service standards.
- Monitor compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and proper rotation of food and supplies.
- Monitor food costs, labor costs, expenses, and overall restaurant profitability.
- Handle cash management, daily sales reports, and other operational documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with kitchen, service, and support teams to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience working as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and team management skills within a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage restaurant operations, including staff rostering, cost control, and inventory management
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations
