Our client, a major Financial Services organisation, is seeking an experienced professional to join their Group Audit function. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting strong consumer credit risk management across the business. You will assess lending portfolio performance, review the effectiveness of risk practices, and identify opportunities to strengthen outcomes, helping support sustainable growth, sound risk management and regulatory compliance.
This is a permanent role based in Sydney, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
What you'll need
- Extensive experience in financial services, with strong end‑to‑end knowledge of consumer credit risk across policy, decisioning, portfolio strategy and performance
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to assess control effectiveness and emerging risks to portfolio quality and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to lead, prioritise and deliver outcomes
- Advanced analytical capability, including the ability to interpret large datasets and generate insights using tools such as SQL, SAS, Tableau or Power BI (advantageous)
- Sound understanding of Australian credit risk regulatory frameworks; experience in automated credit decisioning is desirable
